Your day trip to Ephesus from Bodrum will begin around 7:00 am with a pick-up from your hotel in Bodrum. You will proceed to drive to Ephesus with an approximate travel duration of around 2.5 hours in a private air-conditioned car driven by a private driver. Upon arrival in Ephesus, you will meet your professional English-speaking licensed tour guide.

On the tour you will be able to see:

Ephesus antique site; Enter through the Magnesia Gate and begin a slow, downhill walk with your guide into the ruins of this Roman provincial capital. Your route takes you past the Odeum, the Celsus Library, the Temple of Hadrian, the Fountain of Trajan and the Great Theater. The Theater had seating for 25,000, was the site where St. Paul preached to the Ephesians, and is used today for a local spring festival.

Temple of Artemis; The temple of Artemision is known as one of the Seven Wonders of the Antic world. It has been built in the areas of Ephesus on a flat area which has over the centuries turned into a swamp.

Break for lunch at a traditional Turkish restaurant.

After lunch, continue your tour to:

House of Virgin Mary; Virgin Mary House, It is the place where Mary may have spent her last days. Indeed, she may have come in the area together with Saint John.

The Basilica of St. John; It is believed that the evangelist St. John had spent his last years in the region around Ephesus and buried in here. Three hundred years later, a small chapel was constructed over the grave in the 4th century. The church of St John was changed into a marvelous basilica.

Sirince Village; which was a Greek village and well know with its beauty and the 2012 that most famouse people were there.

At the end of the tour around 4:00 pm, you will travel back to Bodrum and will be dropped off at your hotel in Bodrum around 7:00 pm.
