Antique Pool at Pamukkale
The Cleopatra Antique Pools are a series of ancient Roman baths and pools located in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Pamukkale in Turkey. The pools were built in the 2nd century AD by the Roman Emperor Septimius Severus and are named after Cleopatra, who is said to have bathed in them. The pools are made of travertine, a type of limestone that is deposited by hot springs, and are surrounded by a series of stepped terraces. The pools are now a popular tourist attraction, and visitors can swim in the pools or walk along the terraces.
